Operational Intelligence

Operational Intelligence powers successful protective operations. It converts raw information into real-time, actionable insight that directly supports executive protection teams and decision-makers in dynamic environments.

At Ephesians Defense Group, our approach is field-driven and mission-focused — enhancing situational awareness, reducing uncertainty, and strengthening operational control before, during, and after deployment.

Operational Intelligence bridges the gap between strategic threat assessments and real-time field operations. This service exists to support the agents doing the work on the ground. It sharpens their awareness and improves their ability to act decisively.

  • Advance intelligence for site visits and route planning

  • Real-time monitoring during movements and events

  • Risk updates based on developing situations

  • Pattern-of-life analysis for principals

  • Intelligence briefings tailored to the protection detail

  • Rapid analysis and escalation alerts

  • Decision-support for team leaders and principals

  • Assistance with private investigations, including field verification and threat confirmation

Operational Intelligence provides investigative assistance to enhance protective operations and support broader investigative efforts. This includes verifying harassment, stalking, or credible threats, gathering evidence, and documenting behavioral patterns that may impact client safety.

The unit can also assist external investigators who are managing cases in our area. If a private investigator from out of town is working on a case involving a local location or subject, Operational Intelligence can provide field support, logistical coordination, and on-the-ground observation, all fully integrated with the EP team. This ensures cases are handled efficiently, safely, and within legal parameters while maintaining the highest level of discretion.

Operational Intelligence is specifically designed to support:

  • Executive Protection details

  • High-net-worth individuals

  • Corporate leadership

  • Public figures

  • High-threat or elevated-risk travel

  • Large-scale events

  • Faith-based leadership

  • Sensitive corporate engagements

Enhancing the Advance Before Arrival

Operational Support enhances advance work by extending visibility beyond traditional walk-throughs. Prior to client movement, assets may be deployed to evaluate venue perimeters, elevated vantage points, blind zones, route vulnerabilities, adjacent structures, crowd flow, and environmental shifts. This ensures the detail is not relying solely on ground-level observation.

• Aerial site familiarization
• Route reconnaissance and evacuation validation
• Perimeter vulnerability review
• Observation of suspicious or repetitive activity
• Confirmation of staging, access, and emergency routes
• Environmental change monitoring prior to arrival

GPS Vehicle Tracking

Drone & Aerial Coverage

Advanced mapping tools support route analysis, alternate route planning, and location familiarization. These tools help protective teams identify key infrastructure, emergency services, and potential mobility challenges.

Unmanned aerial systems provide an elevated perspective that can assist with environmental awareness, large area observation, and event location familiarization. This capability can support advance planning by identifying access points, crowd flow patterns, parking areas, and terrain considerations.

Secure Data & Communications Channels

Digital Mapping and Route Planning Softwar

Reliable communication systems are critical to coordinated protective operations. EDG utilizes professional grade communication equipment that allows protective teams to maintain contact, coordinate movements, and relay critical information efficiently during missions.

Surveillance and Observation Equipment

Advanced mapping tools support route analysis, alternate route planning, and location familiarization. These tools help protective teams identify key infrastructure, emergency services, and potential mobility challenges.

Professional observation equipment assists in monitoring surrounding environments during operations. This includes optical devices designed to enhance distance observation, environmental scanning, and situational awareness for protective teams.
